Dr Joshua Lauder
 

Dr Joshua Lauder is a Consultant Radiologist with over 10 years’ experience in diagnostic and therapeutic radiology. He is the lead radiologist for Head and Neck Cancer Service at ELHT. He also runs local Specialist Musculoskeletal MDTs including Rheumatology, Upper limb and Lower limb. He has a strong interest in medical education, acting as Lead Radiologist and Senior Clinical Lecturer at University of Central Lancashire (UCLAN). He also has a research interest in Artificial Intelligence (AI), being the lead investigator for research into AI interpretation of foot x-rays in collaboration with The University of Manchester, where he is an Honorary Senior Clinical Lecturer. He has presented at National and International Radiology and Medical Education conferences. He also authored 9 chapters of ABC of major trauma: rescue, resuscitation with imaging, and rehabilitation, 5th edition Peter A. Driscoll (editor). He is on the expert advisor panel for Elsevier ‘Complete anatomy’ software.

Qualifications

  • Dr Joshua Lauder graduated in medicine from the University of Manchester in 2012 (MBChB).

  • He completed Foundation training in Manchester, before Teaching Anatomy at The University of Manchester from 2014-2015.

  • He commenced Radiology training in the Northwest, obtaining FRCR from The Royal College of Radiologists in 2018.

  • He has been a Consultant Radiologist for East Lancashire Hospital NHS Trust from 2020 and Lead Radiologist/Senior Clinical Lecturer at University of Central Lancashire (UCLAN) since 2020.

Dr Onyibo Okafor
 

Dr Onyibo Okafor is a General Practitioner working in the Northwest. He has varied interests and maintains a portfolio career, working in both the NHS and in the Private Sector. In addition to his general work in GP practices, Urgent Care Centers and A+Es he has also worked as a rehab doctor at an Enhanced Intermediate Care Unit where he headed up the multidisciplinary team made up of Physiotherapists, Occupational therapists and Pharmacists.

Dr Okafor has an interest in minor surgery and musculoskeletal conditions. In addition to his medical and GP qualifications he has completed additional courses in minor surgery, joint injections and management of musculoskeletal conditions. He attends Ultrasound musculoskeletal clinics as this is an area of significant interest for him.

Qualifications

  • Dr Okafor completed his primary medical qualification at the University of Manchester earning his MBChB in 2013.

  • During his time at Manchester University he took a year out to complete his Masters in Public Health.

  • He completed his Foundation Training in Manchester before going on to spend a year as a Clinical Fellow at the Manchester Royal Infirmary.

  • Dr Okafor commenced his GP training in 2016 completing his MRCGP exams in 2019.

  • After this Dr Okafor has continued to develop his skills and professional interests, completing diplomas in Obstetrics and Gynaecology as well as Geriatric Medicine.

  • He has also completed courses in Minor Surgery, Musculoskeletal managment and joint injections.
